Narragunnawali Plan

A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal statement of commitment to reconciliation. EOSHC has developed a RAP,  extending on existing initiatives undertaken, in our commitment to Reconciliation. The RAP is registered on the Narragunnawali platform.

Esperance Outside School Hours Care (EOSHC)’s vision is to encourage a continued interchangeable relationship with First Nations peoples and to continue to respectfully embed cultural knowledge and protocols in our service. We will encourage First Nations peoples to access our service with continued culturally safe programs which bring families to the centre as well as continue to identify and address barriers for families to access Child Care. EOSHC is committed to offering respectful access to knowledge about the histories of First Nations peoples, with local stories being shared alongside the national history that needs to be remembered. We encourage reconciliation by education, reflection and taking action to ensure we get to know and extend positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community. We will invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers and community Elders who know the centre, to help us to continue to build strong trusting relationships. We commit to a continued vision of breaking down the barriers to childcare access  Our relationships and activities will be genuine and transformative in order to be part of truth telling action that is required for reconciliation.
