Jo Aberle

Executive Officer

Jo Aberle has been working at Escare Inc since 1995; having had 18 months maternity leave and 12 months extended long service leave during that time.

Jo’s background is in child care and youth work. She has completed Community Development and Communication studies as well as obtaining a Diploma in Business Management.  Jo continues find the role challenging and feels privileged to lead a team of dedicated workers caring for the Esperance Community.

Natalie Symonds

Team Leader and Empowering Communities Coordinator
Natalie has worked at Escare since 2009 having worked as the Escare Youth Worker and in the Family Support area. Natalie’s experience contributes significantly towards Escare’s capacity to increase local community development by championing the Local Eary Years Network and passionately working in the area of Protective Behaviours. Nat coordinates the Escare Empowering Communites Program and is a team leader.

Megs Sims

Family & Community Worker
Megs commenced as the Escare Family & Community Worker in September 2013. Megs has extensive experience in working with individuals in the Community sector and brings many qualities to this role; including art and craft skills which she shares in a variety of workshops.

Peta Horan

Financial Counsellor
Prior to joining Escare in 2011,  Peta worked for Centrelink for over 20 years and shares a wealth of knowledge with the Escare team and clients in this area as well as providing Financial Counselling services to the community.

Erin Donovan

Youth Worker
Erin joined the Escare team in July 2020. Erin has been working in the Youth Work field for over 30 years, including time as a Youth Work lecturer. Erin’s knowledge and experience brings many skills to our team, including group work and Case Management.

Karen Collins

Administrator: Finance & IT
Karen has worked at Escare since 2000 in the role of Administrator : Finance and IT. Her skills and work experience include Management, HR, Project Management,  Business and Software Analysis, Systems Design & Development, Financial Administration and IT Administration and Support.

Renae Rance

Administration & Bookkeeping
Renae began working for Escare Inc in February 2017 after a short stint on the Escare Board.

Janie Drayton

EOSHC Coordinator
Janie was appointed as Coordinator of the Outside School Hours Care Service in 2023. Janie previously worked for Escare for 18 months in 2019-2020, as a Community Engagement Officer.

Lyn Gallagher

Casual Educator (former Coordinator)
Lyn has been involved in Child Care for over 25 years and her experience and skills are a great asset for the Outside School Hours Care Service.  Lyn has semi retired and is still available to support the service.

Colleen Frost

Qualified Educator and Community Engagement worker
Colleen joined Escare as a Trainee EOSHC Educator in February 2021. Colleen has worked in Child Care as well as in Community Arts space in Esperance as well as in the WA Wheatbelt. We are excited  that Colleen is now a fully Qualified Educator for our EOSHC. Colleen has many creative skills to share.

Lynne Daly

Casual Educator
Lynne has been with Escare since 2002 and has contributed tremendously to the quality child care provided to children attending the centre. Lyn is a senior educator with many years experience and brings a bank of knowledge and skills to the Outside School Hours Care centre.

Gaynor Blackley

Qualified Educator

Gaynor has been with EOSHC for 12 months, with a background in Nursing. Gaynor finds great joy in working with the children who attend the centre and always looking for fun ideas.
